Our first beautiful pair of Green Cheeks that are capable of producing Pineapples are Fuji and Gala. Fuji is a Double Split Green Cheek and Gala is a Pineapple Green Cheek. This is our beautiful Gala. Because Gala is a Pineapple and Fuji is a Double Split, their chances of producing Pineapples babies are about 15% males and 15% females. Gala is one of our babies from 2006, as is Fuji. Fuji's dad always puts a lot of red in his babies. (His father is on the Yellow Sided page and is named Beau).

This proud little man is Fuji. He is a Double Split Green Cheek which means he is split to (or carrying) the Yellow Sided and Cinnamon genes. Even though he looks like a Normal Green Cheek, he is able to pass on those genes and since his mate is a Pineapple, he is able to create Pineapples.

Gala loves riding horses, just like her mother(s). We used to call Gala our "crop-duster" because she would zoom around our kitchen, dive bombing us!!! Since then, she has moved to the aviary, but we still love her.
"I can't believe we ate the WHOLE THING!" (Gala is on the right)

AND FINALLY, OUR BEAUTIFUL REDNECK PAIR: Mr. Wuzzy and Mrs. Fuzzy! There is a little story behind the names. We raised Fuzzy when she was hatched below our pair named Gary and Della. Wuzzy is a true "Texas Redneck" from www.hatchingpost.com . When Green Cheeks are about 4 weeks old, they are always fluffed up, begging...and very Fuzzy-looking. As Fuzzy went through that stage, we nicknamed her Fuzzy and the name  stuck.

Doesn't she look just plain...Fuzzy? And, of course, her husband just HAD to be Wuzzy.

 Wuzzy meet Fuzzy!

......and Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair!

And the exciting news is....Fuzzy (on right) and  Wuzzy's (on left) babies will be 100% PINEAPPLE BABIES!!!!!

In 2008, these two pairs will be our Pineapples Producers!!!!!
