I recommend it when you first bring home new birds for they could carry in some type of parasite. I also recommend it to those who keep their finches outside. For outside finches, I recommend it two times per year. I used to worm using Worm Out gel sold by Birds2Grow.com. After worming according to the bottle's instructions, I would follow up with Amtyl and then with Probios. Whenever your finch or parrot has been on antibiotics, it is a good idea to follow up with a Probiotic of some type to replace the beneficial flora. All of these products are available from Birds2Grow or from the Finchniche.com This year, I started using S76 and worming them 2 days per week for 3 weeks in a row. I do this two times per year. The bottle gives measurements in liters and cc, but it converts to .59 ml or cc to 1 cup of water. Make sure you remove all other sources of water from their cage.
